A Survey of European Art
Paintings from the Renaissance through the Nineteenth Century

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is home to a large collection of art from various cultures and artistic periods, including a collection of European works spanning ancient Greece to the early 20th century. A Survey of European Art: Paintings from the Renaissance through the Nineteenth Century focuses on a selection of paintings by artists such as Jean-François Millet, Titian, and Claude Monet. The program creates an historic context for the art and discusses its evolution from the Renaissance into the early nineteenth century.

This program is appropriate for adult and community audiences or groups of honors and advanced placement students.
